East Texas residents will get to see firsthand what makes the Ballet such a magnificent art form with The Russian National Ballet Theatre’s performance of Giselle. With music by composer Adolphe Adam and Petipa choreography, Giselle is one of the most celebrated ballets of the Romantic era. The company of 50 dancers brings the story of a young peasant girl to life as she enters a world of betrayal, mystery, beauty and danger. And as a matter of interest, Giselle is the ballet that gave Mikhail Baryshnikov his dancing debut. Their Artistic Director, Elena Radchenko was a legendary principal dancer with the Bolshoi for many years and has led The Russian National Ballet Theatre to great success since 1994.
Tickets for Giselle go on sale at noon, Monday, December 20th at the Temple Theater box office. This show will be a sell-out so call early for best seating--936-633-5454.
