RIOULT performs in Texas

Lufkin, TX- When RIOULT Dance/ New York comes to Lufkin on Saturday, September 17th, it will be the first time the company will perform in the state of Texas. Tickets will be $36-$45($55/premium) and are available at the Temple Theater Box Office. RIOULT (ree-you) was founded in 1994 and fast became an established name in modern dance with a reputation for creating and presenting the evocative, articulate, and exquisitely musical works of Pascal Rioult. Born into the American modern dance tradition, RIOULT is creating its own legacy of contemporary dance that speaks to the mind and heart. The company of ten dancers is based in New York City and presents an annual New York season, tours nationally and internationally and conducts community engagement activities. The French-born modern dance choreographer is known for his unique interpretations of well-known classical compositions. Masterworks such as Stravinsky’s “Firebird” and Revel’s “Bolero” will be set boldly to new modern-dance pieces against their classic scores. Stunningly performed by Rioult’s remarkable ensemble, the effect is riveting and uncompromising.
