Lufkin, TX- The dance company, RIOULT Dance/New York is built upon tradition while expanding the definition of contemporary dance. Known for his daring and imaginative explorations of classical scores, choreographer Pascal Rioult creates new work that brings fresh perspective to timeless themes, flawlessly blending his European sensibilities with a strong background in American modern dance. The company offers diverse audiences an experience that speaks to both the mind and heart. RIOULT Dance/ New York perform in Lufkin on Saturday, September 17^th at 7:30pm. The French-born modern dance choreographer is known for his unique interpretations of well-known classical compositions. Masterworks such as Stravinsky’s “Firebird” and Revel’s “Bolero” will be set boldly to new modern-dance pieces against their classic scores. Stunningly performed by Rioult’s remarkable ensemble, the effect is riveting and uncompromising.
