Affectionately known as “The Iron Man of the Mask” Franc D’Ambrosio was awarded the distinction as the “World’s Longest Running Phantom” in Phantom of The Opera. An official ceremony was given where he placed his hands in cement, and the title was immortalized. Franc retained that title for over a decade. Now he brings his gripping one-man show, Franc D’Ambrosio’s Broadway to the Temple Theater stage Monday, November 22nd at 7:30pm. Performance Tickets ($22-$30) are now on sale at the Temple Theater box office weekdays noon-5:30, or you may purchase tickets by phone at 936-633-5454. The Temple Theater is located on the Angelina College campus in Lufkin. Franc D’Ambrosio’s Broadway is sponsored by A Friend of the Arts, Loving Toyota * Scion and Loving Lincoln * Mercury. Tenth Anniversary Season Sponsor is Temple-Inland.
Mr. D’Ambrosio has toured extensively throughout the United States, Europe, and South America with his critically acclaimed one-man show. He is also a frequent guest with many major American orchestras and symphonies in their Pop Series. With the success of his national and international tours, he joins the ranks of the famed Michael Crawford and Sarah Brightman as only a handful of Phantom alumni to successfully crossover to solos careers. In Franc D’Ambrosio’s Broadway he spends nearly two hours celebrating Broadway musicals and telling the audience about his own life and his early love for music. Angelina Arts Alliance Executive Director Rick Schiller says, “Franc is an immense talent. We are delighted to bring a Broadway star of this caliber to Lufkin, and I know our audiences won’t be disappointed.”
