PAUL REISER TO OPEN ARTS ALLIANCE SEASON

A Favor for Friend - Replacing Injured Larry Miller

TICKETS ON SALE JULY 25TH

LUFKIN, TX. The show must go on, despite an injury which has forced postponement of COCKTAILS WITH LARRY MILLER, the scheduled Angelina Arts Alliance season opener. Mr. Miller’s good friend and fellow comedian, Paul Reiser, will replace him on the Temple Theater stage in Lufkin on August 25th with his unique comedic style.  The award-winning actor/author/stand-up comedian will serve up a full dose of laughter to open the 2012-2013 season. Sharing the spotlight will be Pat Hazell, well-known funnyman, former Seinfeld writer, and Tonight Show regular. Arts Alliance Director Rick Schiller says, “Although we are disappointed that Larry Miller has had to postpone his Lufkin appearance, we are honored and delighted to welcome the charming and witty comedian, Paul Reiser, for an evening of good humor and big laughs.”

Paul Reiser was the co-creator and star of the long-running and critically acclaimed NBC series, Mad About You, with Helen Hunt.   He garnered Emmy, Golden Globe, American Comedy Award and Screen Actors Guild nominations for Best Actor in a Comedy Series. Paul’s film roles have included Diner, Bye Bye Love, Aliens, Beverly Hills Cop (I and II), and The Thing About My Folks. He is also the author of the books, “Familyhood,” “Babyhood” and “Couplehood” (his first book), which sold over two million copies and reached the number one spot on the New York Times bestseller list.
