LUFKIN, TX. Tickets go on sale November 29 at 11 a.m. at the Temple Theater Box Office for the national tour of the timeless Broadway musical Fiddler on the Roof. Angelina Arts Alliance presents two performances on Saturday, January 14: a matinee at 2:30 pm, and an evening performance at 7:30 pm. Tickets are $40-$50 ($60/Premium).
Eight years on Broadway and 9 Tony Awards attest to the quality, popularity, and universal appeal of this artfully crafted musical. Fiddler on the Roof is a heartwarming story told through the eyes of a poor milkman who struggles with maintaining tradition while finding balance in a rapidly changing world. Life gets interesting for Tevye, the milkman, and father of five daughters as each must be married to suitable husbands. This unforgettable musical is full of dance, history, and laughter. The rousing score is filled with songs that audiences will recognize, such as “Matchmaker, Matchmaker,” “If I Were a Rich Man” and “Sunrise, Sunset.”
