“Thrilling” Describes A FAR CRY Chamber Orchestra
Tickets on Sale Now for September 22nd Temple Theater Concert
LUFKIN, TX. Tickets are on sale at the Temple Theater box office for A FAR CRY Chamber Orchestra, a string ensemble of seventeen young musicians which breaks all the rules. They create classical music in a non-traditional way – “conducterless!”Angelina Arts Alliance presents this highly regarded “new generation” classical ensemble Saturday, September 22, at 7:30 pm. Tickets are $31-$40 (Premium/$50). A FAR CRY is sponsored by KTRE-ABC 9, J.E. Kingham Construction Company, and Lee TranServices, Inc. “Thrilling,” “Intrepid,” and “Brilliant,” are terms used to describe the musicians of a A FAR CRY as they explore the traditional boundaries of classical music, experimenting with the ways it is prepared, performed, and experienced. Since their inception in 2007, this groundbreaking string orchestra has been embraced throughout the world with more than two hundred performances, three albums, and a powerful presence on the Internet. The program will include works by Brahms, Vivaldi, Bartok, and William Walton – performed with an energy and exuberance which will forever change the way you define “orchestra.”
